It is never too early to get your children's eye examined.
Blue light is emitted by smart phones, LED/HD televisions, tablets and computer monitors. When we are exposed to too much of this light, it can become harmful to our eyes. Blue light can penetrate the eye and cause damage to the retinal light-sensitive cells. This can increase your risk of age-related macular degeneration.
Children are especially at risk because their eyes are still developing, and therefore have less natural protection. The increased exposure to digital devices at such a young age, definitely does not help!
What kind of harm is being done to our eyes? Increased blue light exposure causes eye fatigue, leading to blurry vision, difficulty focusing, dry eyes, headaches, and sleep deprivation.
How do we protect ourselves? Visit our clinic to learn more about blue light blockers and have them added to your lenses!
